Secondary Curriculum
Our secondary offering provides a rich and diverse subject offering in line with our vision and ethos. When pupils enter Beacon Lights Secondary school, they are set clear, realistic goals for each subject which challenges pupils to reach their true potential.
In secondary school, we continue to set high expectations in outcomes. Our broad and balanced curriculum lays a strong foundation at keys stage 3 to prepare pupils for national GCSE qualifications when they reach key stage 4.
Our secondary curriculum is carefully sequenced and goes beyond national curriculum coverage. At Beacon Lights, we believe in a pupil-centred approach in which teachers adapt their delivery to suit the needs of pupils, whilst providing challenge and ensuring new learning and progress is sustained.
